PsyPills is a mobile application designed to support emotional regulation through techniques inspired by cognitive-behavioral therapy. Users can select the emotional state they are experiencing, and the app provides “psychological pills” – rational statements tailored to the specific situation. These statements aim to reduce the intensity of negative emotions and promote balanced thinking. The app includes dedicated versions for both adults and children and integrates subjective, physiological, and behavioral measurements of emotions, such as heart rate, step count, and sleep metrics. PsyPills can be a valuable tool for both individual use and therapeutic contexts. The application was tested in a pilot study, where it showed positive effects in reducing distress, and is currently being evaluated in several controlled clinical trials in parallel with other similar applications.
